Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri is an Indian actress who has gained recognition for her performance in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. Her career began in the her twenties. Her character in the role of Anil Kapoor in Tezaab has made her extremely popular. Her next role was in Dil in which she was on screen with Aamir. In Mumbai, she was raised in a family of middle-class parents. At a very young stage, she was able to learn dance. As a teenager She began to act and struggled for years as the majority of her first films were failures. Then she found her way to success and became one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film industry. After marriage, she experienced a career break before reentering the business. She was a key character in Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit won 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen nominations she received. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award given to civilians in India, was bestowed upon Dixit. She is also acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
