Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to lots of classical music and old boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to sing and play music from an early age, along alongside her mother. She was given more formal singing instruction at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. She sang at Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young student and professional. When she moved from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. Her love and passion in music, art and performing keep her engaged with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations to keep this tradition alive.
